The Shattered Glass Project is a theatre company with the mission to amplify the voices of women actors, directors and playwrights by offering unique opportunities to create theatre and to grow professionally. We empower women to tell their own stories; we create new spaces in which women are not “the other”; we incubate new talent and provide creative opportunity for women of all ages to write, direct, design, produce and act in an inclusive and equitable environment; and we combat perceptions of what a creative theatre person looks like and how and by whom our stories should be told.
MORE ABOUT THEATRE
The Shattered Glass Project has 2 on-going activities planned, along with 1 show per year. The Women's Readers Theatre Book Club will meet monthly to engage in readings of new and classic plays by women and non-binary writers, to expose actors to a broader range of options for audition pieces, and allowing people to have the knowledge base to make recommendations for future productions. TSGP will also run co-mentoring circles in two year cycles, bringing emergin women and non-binary directors and playwrights together to create new networks and resources for themselves as their careers progress.
