The Mission of The Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society is to promote the study, production, appreciation, and enjoyment of musical compositions and plays, particularly those of Gilbert & Sullivan.  This includes the development of singers and musicians, and artistic staff, as well as the procurement of rehearsal and theater facilities, and the production of shows, either for public or private showing. The Society shall execute its mission in the spirit of friendship and community.

The Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society has continuously produced  the Gilbert & Sullivan canon for 63 years, and  we have successfully executed our mission of producing and promoting the appreciation, and enjoyment of all Gilbert & Sullivan operetta’s, at an affordable price, and doing so with the highest of artistic standards while educating, developing and cultivating singers, musician and other theatrical artistic talent; and while providing affordable rehearsal space for our company, as well as any other artistic organization in need of rehearsal and performance space. Because of our adherence to our mission the society has grown and expanded our audience and community base. We distinguish ourselves with our local and global appeal, and we are unique in our dedication of producing and keeping alive the Gilbert & Sullivan canon, and in protecting the art form as a cultural heritage. The Society is committed to continuing to grow as an organization, as well as continue to produce a quality family-friendly, and affordable theater experience to our community and beyond.
