MISSION STATEMENT

With the plays of William Shakespeare at our core, Seattle Shakespeare Company engages our audiences, our artists and our community in the universal human experience inherent in classic drama through the vitality, immediacy and intimacy of live performance and dynamic outreach programs.

MORE ABOUT THEATRE

The works of William Shakespeare and other classic playwrights are an essential element of a thriving cultural community. For more than 25 years, Seattle Shakespeare Company has been bringing people together to experience these timeless plays on our stages, in parks across the Puget Sound, and in schools and communities throughout Washington State. Last year, we served more than 54,000 audience members and nearly half were youth.
