MORE ABOUT THEATRE
PFP the longest running sketch comedy group in Seattle and the longest surviving Asian American theatre group in the Northwest. We have a program of producing and bringing in other Asian American comedy groups from across North America. We produce and present a sketch show and a legitimate stage show. Our full length theatrical shows have included the Northwest premieres of Qui Nguyen's LIVING DEAD IN DENMARK, Prince Gomilvilas' BIG HUNK O' BURNIN' LOVE, David Henry Hwang's YELLOW FACE, the world premiere of Maggie Lee's steampunk adventures, THE CLOCKWORK PROFESSOR, THE TUMBLEWEED ZEPHYR and A HAND OF TALONS (which won a 2016 Gregory Award for Outstanding Costume Design) and the Northwest premiere of Carla Ching's FAST COMPANY (which won a 2014 Footlight Award for Best Small Theatre Production). Most reently, we presented UNLEASHED, a staged reading festival of new, original works by playwrights of color drawn from across the continent, presenting genres as diverse as nightclub noir, science fiction, horror, pirates and fantasy. Two of these shows have gone on to receive full productions (with one winning the Lotus Lee Foundation New Works Initiative) with a third to come.
