The 5th Avenue Theatre Association exists to develop, produce and present live musical theater for the cultural enrichment of the Northwest community, and to preserve, maintain, and operate the historic and irreplaceable 5th Avenue Theatre.

The 5th Avenue Theatre is acclaimed as one of America’s leading musical theater companies and developers of new musicals. Under the leadership of Executive Producer and Artistic Director David Armstrong, Managing Director Bernadine Griffin, and Producing Director Bill Berry, The 5th Avenue has premiered 14 new musicals during the past 11 years, nine of which have gone to Broadway, and two of which have earned Tony Awards for Best Musical (Hairspray, 2003 and Memphis, 2010). In addition to bringing new musicals to the stage, The 5th is also renowned for its exceptional productions of the best of contemporary and classic Broadway musicals. Unique in its Chinese-inspired design, this exquisite theater opened in 1926 as a venue for vaudeville and film.
