Leadership for Social Change to host Community Share-Out
The Leadership for Social Change cohort is a small group of theatre makers living and working in the Puget Sound area. Formed in September 2016, under the guidance of artEquity’s Carmen Morgan, Lydia Garcia, and Michael Robertson, we have been meeting together as a peer-learning community to explore questions of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the theatre profession.
We’d like to share some of our journey as a group over this past year, and we’d especially like to open up dialogue with other Seattle artists who have a longing to see greater equity within Seattle theatre.
We know that in approaching questions of equity and inclusion, we are entering a conversation that has a long history. We know that meaningful work towards increased equity has been done and is being done by many artists in Seattle, and we would like to be in community with you.
Please join us for a short program and a community conversation with other activists and theatre artists in the Allen Theatre (at ACT) from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Doors open at 2pm and light refreshments will be served. This is a free event and open to the public.
An RSVP is encouraged due to limited space. Please click on the link below to RSVP and to learn more about the Event:
