Armory Elevator Update

The aging elevator in the Armory (formerly Center House) has been intermittently functional over the last few months due to various technical problems.  It has been fixed a few times only to be shut down again due to safety concerns.  The lack of elevator makes it difficult to access to the 4th floor (where our rehearsal studios are located) and Seattle Center is working diligently to repair or replace the elevator.  Here is the official statement from Seattle Center:

ARMORY ELEVATOR UPDATE

Work continues to return the Armory elevator located in the north corridor to reliable service. The latest plan is to finish a new brake installation and tune the floor leveling function, and so it will be unavailable until after that time.

At times when the elevator is unavailable, visitors seeking access to the fourth floor may take the glass elevator located in the food and beverage area up to the third floor, then follow the signs to the stairwell that accesses the fourth floor. Those requiring ADA access need to call 206 684-7222 to request an escort or visit Customer Service on the third floor for further assistance.

We have experienced ongoing difficulties with the elevator over the past few months, and our TFM staff is working hard to resolve the issues. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the elevator up and fully functional soon. If you have inquiries regarding it, please call 206 386-1974.
