Become a member of Theatre Puget Sound
TPS is a leadership and service organization founded in 1997 to advocate for the region’s growing theatre community’s causes and administer much-needed services. We are now the Northwest’s premiere arts advocacy and leadership organization. Ours is a two-fold mission: To promote the spiritual and economic necessity of theatre to the public, and to unify and strengthen the theatre community through programs, resources, and services.
TPS is a membership based organization composed of performing arts organizations and individual performing arts practitioners in the Puget Sound region. Members include performing arts organizations of all sizes, actors, directors, designers, dramaturgs, playwrights, stage managers, technicians, and administrative staff.
TPS provides an enormous amount of valuable services to our membership. For a full list of benefits, click here for organizations, here for individuals.
Your benefit from TPS membership is much greater than the sum of services rendered. As a member of TPS you are contributing to the health of the regional theatre community as a whole. TPS does a great deal of advocacy work on behalf of the Puget Sound performing arts community, through which all involved in that community benefit. TPS is a strong and persuasive voice on local and national issues that impact our region's performing arts scene. If you are a practicing member of this community, regardless of your TPS membership status, TPS is representing your interests to both political and cultural officials.
Membership dues are a main source of funding for all of our programs and services. By joining TPS you are doing your part to help nurture and sustain your own community. We all must pull our own weight to keep our performing arts scene strong and healthy. The greater our numbers, the greater our impact.
