Seminar will cover four phases:
The basics of voice acting technique and vocal preparation, and how to use your voice. The industry needs all types of voices.
Careers in voice acting (commercials, audio books, documentaries, animation, interactive media).

The business of voice acting, the major players in the business, union vs. nonunion, creating work opportunities for yourself, and producing your demo.
Putting your voice and skills to the test (recording real scripts on the spot, simulating auditions - you will receive a copy of your work).

Four students from last year's workshop now have demos and are represented by VO agents!

Dozier is a SAG-AFTRA member and voice actor with close to 20 years of experience. He is a principal actor alongside Lea Michele, Jim Belushi, and Patrick Stewart in the Hollywood animation movie Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return. Additional voice credits include American Idol Ruben Studdard’s national promo for the album Love Is, Centerlight Healthcare and the NCAA Recyclemania Campaign for Coca Cola and most recently Stelara. On screen Leonard can be seen in the film Turning Point with Ernie Hudson and Todd Bridges. He co-starred in the Emmy-winning Fever: 1793 which premiered on ABC in April of 2012.
