Project Information:
Forward Flux Productions will present two brand new plays will run in rotation with each other (many nights will have a performance of each: 7pm and 9pm) at the theatre in Gay City (Capitol Hill). Rehearsals begin August 8th, performances September 16th - October 3rd (Wednesday - Saturday), with a possible extension on October 4th. Both plays will be directed by Artistic Director, Wesley Fruge.

GREEN WHALES - NW Regional premiere dark comedy, by Lia Romeo
Karen is a middle-aged woman with a chromosomal disorder that makes her look like she's in her early teens. As a result, she has trouble meeting men - until her alcoholic sister Joanna sets her up with a suspected pedophile. The real problem is, she likes him. Meanwhile Joanna is navigating her own relationship troubles with a boyfriend who won't commit. In this dark comedy, two sisters search for love and decide just how much they're willing to settle for.
Starring: Rachel Anne Godbe, Clayton Michael, Leslie Wisdom, Craig Peterson
Assistant Director: Haley Bates

STILL LIFE - World premiere dark play, Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich
Three people become inextricably linked after a series of subway bombings shut down their city. There's Lydia, whose daughter Jackie hasn't returned after leaving for the subway that day. There's Donald, her son-in-law who is paralyzed by grief. Lastly, there's a celebrated photographer who makes Lydia her first human subject by taking daily polaroids of her phone chats with Jackie during lunch. Still Life offers a beautiful and humorous look at the ways in which we move on in the face of tragedy.
Starring: Gretchen Douma, Brandon Simmons, Pilar O'Connell
Assistant Director: Benjamin Benne
