Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre located in the University District of Seattle, has been enriching the lives of children through theatre for over 17 years.  We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Production Manager that enjoys variety and working with kids!  The position reports to the Artistic Director and also works with the Office Manager to oversee day-to-day production operations, scheduling, and financial budgeting for Broadway Bound shows and programs.  Individual will be responsible for pre-production planning as well as on-site production management of programs/shows. Individual will also act as stage manager for some in-house projects.

•   Fiscal Responsibility
Tracks and estimates labor and production costs for each project.
Ensures invoices are received promptly and accurately.
Works with accountant to generate purchase orders and set up new vendor accounts.
Ensures labor and production costs remain within budget.

•   Supervision of personnel
During shows/programs, will be responsible for all hiring and management of freelance crews and appropriate vendors, working closely
with creative partners on development of concept and responsible for successful completion of all projects.
Provides expectations, direction and coaching to production assistants and coordinators
Will be the first line manager to handle disputes and troubleshoot personnel issues.

•   Operational/Administration
Coordinates programming calendar for entire season
Secures appropriate theater space and licensing rights when required
Oversees logistics and coordination of outside vendors
Communicates with internal functions to resolve any production issues
handles any stage problems that may arise during the course of production
Coordinates with Facilities and Building Services regarding needs on the studio floor
Manages inventory of all costumes, props, sets, sound equipment, etc
Assist in technical aspects of s[/pre]hows such as, light design, set design, costume design, set delivery, etc. as needed

Qualifications and Experience:
•   2yrs+ college level education or associate’s degree, from an accredited school or related experience is desired.
•   2yrs+ of experience in a stage management, production management role.
•   Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.
•   Able to work independently and as part of a team
•   Consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
•   Exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
•   Appropriately interpret and apply policies and procedures.
•   Professionally and effectively interact and communicate
•   Computer proficient in word processing, database, spreadsheet and Internet software programs.
•   Able to travel Seattle-wide; reliable transportation needed (proof of valid driver’s license, current auto insurance ID card, and acceptable driving record per NIAC          standards required).
•   Must love working with children and their families! We want our young clients to love coming to BB!
•   The desire to make a difference, and have some fun along the way.
