Cost: Free!
All levels of experience welcome
Spend 10 weeks learning the art of playwriting in the Young Playwrights Program! Whether you are already a wizard with words or you’ve never dreamed of writing anything outside of school, you’ll learn how to get your creative juices flowing and how to transform your stories, experiences, and opinions from thoughts in your head to words on a page. The class will end with a showcase of student work and the play you create will have a chance to be produced as a staged reading in ACT’s 2012 Young Playwrights Festival!

About the Young Playwrights Program The Young Playwrights Program seeks to provide its young participants with the tools and the opportunity to express aloud their diverse thoughts, ideas, concerns and viewpoints about themselves, the world in which they are living, and the challenges they face. The YPP seeks further to endow them with self-confidence and a sense that their ideas matter and that their voices deserve to, and will, be heard.
