Hi Scott:
I'm not having issues with TPS, but I am unable to make secure log-ons to any other sites. I have an e-machine running Windows XP with a cable modem. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Rik,

Which browser (and version of it) are you using?
Any firewall or anti-virus software?
Other software that might conceivably interefere?

I agree with Chad, sounds like a software problem on your end.

Well, one thing to "try" right off would be clearing the cache in Internet Explorer.  It will sometimes fix the strangest things.  (Tools-->Internet Options-->Delete Files)

If that doesn't work, another simple thing to try is resetting the Web Settings in Internet Explorer (Tools-->Internet Options-->Programs (tab)-->Reset Web Settings).  Will reset the search and home pages.

Intermittently on the AVG and Norton?  Well, so long as they're up to date with their virus definitions.  Do either of them actively run all the time in the background?

Given the amount of crap out there, this could be an adware/spyware type thing. If you're feeling up to it, you could download Spybot - Search & Destroy (from download.com or elsewhere) then download the updates, immunize and scan your machine.
