ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery is looking for a photographer for production photos of the upcoming theatre performances. This position requires working with actors ages 8 and up, under the direction of ArtsWest's Theatre Director, and reports directly to the Marketing Director. This is a volunteer position, but ArtsWest is a non-profit 501c3 and all donated photography/videography work can be considered a donation of services rendered. Photographer will be given photo credit on all print and online materials used and will retain copyright on all work created.

Successful candidates will be strong communicators, detail-oriented, have a passion for photography and the arts, patience, and a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of studio photography experience.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a working knowledge of digital photography with a good grasp of lighting and composition.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop. All files must be saved for PC.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick turn round and tight deadlines needed.
- Knowledge of theatre marketing/photography a plus, but not necessary.


This position requires volunteering photography services using your own equipment for 1-2 hours from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. on the following dates:

TUESDAY, August 3rd. 2010 - "Seussical, Jr." actors ages 8-12 years old.

MONDAY, August 16th. 2010 - Aristophanes' "The Birds". actors ages 12-16 years old.

SUNDAY, August 28th. 2010 - "reasons to be pretty".

MONDAY, October 11th. 2010 - "Evil Dead, The Musical".

MONDAY, November 22nd. 2010 - "A Tuna Christmas".

MONDAY, January 17th. 2011 - "Emilie".

MONDAY, February 28th. 2011 - "Distracted".

MONDAY, April 18th. 2011 - "Shipwrecked!"
