The Kevin Hadley Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for
Artists is seeking motivated, committed individuals to help in the
preparation of artists' 2009 tax returns.
This is a great way to help out your fellow artists, while at the same
time learning some of the ins-and-outs of the Tax Code, that can be
applied to your own return! No experience necessary; training is
available online or in book format.
The Kevin Hadley VITA program will begin mid-March and run through the
April 15th filing deadline. Volunteers are asked to be available for
a minimum of 4 hours per week, with flexibility based on your
schedule. Tax appointments this year will be scheduled on Sundays
from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00
p.m.
