Here's a partial list of tpsonline.org website errors that we are currently working on.

-account information not showing when you are logged in
-images in member profiles not showing
--images can't be added to Seattle Performs.com listings
-member listserv currently unavailable new list available as of 10/10
-audition listing system-- auditions post to site, but emails aren't reaching members.

-upload my resume (new one) and it's not letting me do so.

-currently loaded resumes not showing - some are, some aren't.

Rather than email, I'll just post the issue. I cannot see any of my images or many other images from other actors. Is progress being made on this issue?

Yes, thank you for your note of concern. It is being worked on but I'm sure that you can appreciate the priority right now is seattleperforms.com and the major public campaign that will launch this weekend with a theatre fair at Fisher Pavilion on Sunday and then ticket reservations going live on Monday. This is the largest public awareness campaign for theatre in the region and all of our resources and staff must keep our attention on this campaign at this time.

We realize the issues on tpsonline.org are an inconvenience for members and the issues are certainly not forgotten.

Another thing that is not working: On the homepage, when you click on Message Board Last 24 hours button, it gives a database error.

Dear Members,
Now that TPS has survived the initial crunch of the launch of Live Theatre Week we are able to turn more focus to the issues still plaguing TPSOnline.org. I know that the glitches on TPSOnline.org have become quite an irritation. Please know that we are working on them. What follows is a list of our known issues that our web team is addressing. If you have others please let us know. Also - If you run in to new error messages related to what is listed below - please add. Details always help solve. OR - if you are not experiencing one of these errors, I personally would like to know that as I enjoy investigating what might be the difference between your profile and others - that helps sometimes as well.

Quick List:
1. Images not appearing (some are, some aren’t)
2. Audition email blast not sending
3. Personal Profile admin links not appearing on home page
4. Password re-set email not accepted for SeattlePerforms.com lost password form
5. Temporary reserved bookings (yellow code) on rental calendar not going away after seven day payment deadline
6. Message Board ‘last 24’ messages button not working
7. Upload new resume not working
8. Already loaded resume not appearing (some are, some aren’t)
9. tpsmembers@tpsemail.org is not functioning

More Detail:
1. Our (Megan's) testing reveals:

Uploading did seem to work - she uploaded to 'image #2' and she can see it. Nothing however changed with image #1 still be there but not appearing. Even though #2 appeared and properly uploaded - in the process of doing so she still got these error messages and we have no idea what they mean:

Warning: imagecreatefromgif(/home/tpsonlin/public_html/images/tps_logo-sm-no-ttl_30h.GIF) [function.imagecreatefromgif]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/tpsonlin/public_html/talent/portfolio/inc/image_upload.inc on line 73

When multiple images exist, all appear properly except #1.

I asked Megan to try and upload a NEW image #1 and see if it appears - this is what happened:
If I try to edit image #1, I get this error message.

I was able to delete image #1 and then image #2 appears visible as image #1—and seems full functional. Though when I select to edit what is now image #1 - everything looks correct and normal but the heading at the top still 'calls' it image #2. Very interesting.

2. The second is that the audition notice email to members is still not going out.

3. The third is that their profile is not appearing at the top of the home page with all of their editing profile links.

4. A user requests their password be sent to them, because they’ve forgotten it. When it arrives in their email, they try to log-in with it, but it doesn’t work.  This has been tested on tpsonline.org and worked. This is probably about logging in on SeattlePerforms.com after receiving the email from the ‘lost password’ form.  For TPS Members – your SeattlePerforms.com password should be the same as your tpsonline.org password.

5. Temporary Reserved booking on the Rental Calendar are not being ‘dismissed’ at the seven day deadline.

6. Message Board Last 24 hours button, it gives a database error.

9. Megan is receiving messages stating that we have ‘messages’ waiting to be moderated for the tpsmembers listserv but when select the link the page does not exist. These notices are usually about the ‘spam’ messages that are held which then begs the question “where are the valid emails from the members going?”

Replying to the email you sent out yesterday inviting me back onto the email list returned the following error. I would like to back on the email list, but cannot access my profile to put my email back in there. I know you are working very hard on getting this back in order; thank you for all you do!

Alan et al.,
The list has been and still is set for replies to go to the 'poster' only and not the entire list. It does appear that if someone select 'reply all' - the list address is included. I am currently investigating the administrative settings more closely to determine if I have control over that.


Telisa - the message you received was a request to join the list by someone already on the list. I believe these messages are just a bit of 'start-up' confusion that I am clarifying now.

Susan - it looks like you are now registered on the listserv and all is figured out. Please do let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi - To confirm: the list is set to reply to 'poster'. HOWEVER - if you select 'Reply All', it will include the list address. So - please don't do that.  Wink I am awaiting response as to whether or not there actually is administrative control over that occurrence.

Also - I see there continues to be a handful of posts with simply an email address listed. I don't know really what is happening there but I am investigating by asking those from whom the message came.

Things will simmer down. Given that several hundred folks are subscribing to a listserv in less than a 24 hour period - there really have been few issues. Just trying to keep things in perspective.

Thanks to a helpful member I now know what has confused some folks and created the several emails to TPSMembers listserv with just the address in the body of the email.

It is this instruction:
"To post to this list, send your email to:

  tpsmembers@tpsemail.org"
 
When some saw that and several other emails in their account doing the same thing, it assumed it was meant to be some sort of confirmation.

I don't know that I can reverse the confusion but at least now we know what is going on. So, to clarify:
Simply hitting 'reply' to the INVITATION email and leaving the subject line untouched with the confirmation code - AUTOMATICALLY subscribes one to the list.

The instruction above is to send a message to the list not to subscribe.

Susan - no, nothing for you to do at this time. The listserv that was just re-instated is an announcements list. It is not the audition notification system. That system is still being worked on.

The TPSMembers listserv is for:

TIX - Member Ticket Offers/Specials
ISO - In Search Of
JOB - Job Announcements
