Forward Flux is hiring the few remaining positions for our Fall Double Feature Productions.

The plays are las mariposas Y los muertos by Benjamin Benne and Directed by Pilar O'Connell & No More Sad Things by Hansol Jung and Directed by Wesley Fruge.  Rehearsals begin early August, Load in is 9/14, Tech / Dress week is 9/15-9/20, Performance Run is 9/21-10/7.  Rehearsals will be at Cornish College, Velocity Dance Center, and West of Lenin.  Performances are at West of Lenin.  ALL our positions offer a competitive stipend.

We are looking for the following:

1.)  STAGE MANAGER for "No More Sad Things".  Work closely with the Production Manager and Director as a logistical leader in the production of NMST.  Responsibilities include attending and running rehearsals, tracking logistics of the play, compose and send daily rehearsal reports, run tech cue to cue, run / call lights and sound during performances, be a key figure in the execution of the productions.  In addition to SM'ing NMST, this role will also support on the crew for MARIPOSAS, and will be part of the set change over team. Once we move into tech, the Stage Managers / ASM / Production Manager will coordinate the execution of both shows with excellence. This position requires someone who is highly-organized, detail oriented, and a leader in a creative environment.
Stipend: $500

2.)  SET CONSTRUCTION / TECH ADVISER.  We need an individual who is capable of constructing the set in accordance with the plan of our Set Designer.  We will need you periodically during the rehearsal process and fully present during Load-In, Tech, and Dress Rehearsal.  This person will also be a consultant into the logistics of the technical execution of the plays.  The Constructor's responsibilities include procuring materials for building the set, construct major components of the set BEFORE load-in, contribute technical knowledge into the problem solving of tech week.  DISCLAIMER - Forward Flux does not have access to a shop or power tools.  Ideally, this person will have access to these resources.  We will work with you to help!
Stipend: $700

3.)  SOUND BOARD OP for "Mariposas".  This play features a rock and roll band playing live music (guitar, drums, bass, and vocals).  The person will be responsible for mixing the band's music live during performances, and for setting up and testing all of the mics, amps, etc.  The ideal candidate has experience mixing live music for concerts or musicals.  You will work closely with our Sound Designer, Stage Manager, and Director.  We will need you periodically during the rehearsal process and present during Designer Run, Load-In, Tech, Dress Rehearsal, and ALL Performances (3 week run).
Stipend: $300
