THE SUITCASE CHALLENGE: A BREW-MANCE
Log line: 5 guys, 24 beers, 24 hours, 1,000,000 antics.
The Suitcase Challenge is a documentary that follows five friends as they proceed to drink 24 beers EACH within 24 hours. While there can be only one winner, there can be millions of antics. This feature-length documentary features an array of Seattle icons including the Barbie Dream Hearse, the Morphsuit Dancers and the Fremont Solstice Parade and Festival, not to mention a performance by local hip hop phenoms Fresh Espresso.
Known by many names, this Suitcase Challenge aims to clearly establish a culturally accepted title to this fierce competition and to once and for all, decide the winner among this particular group of friends, who, since their last Suitcase Challenge more than a decade ago, have remained divided as to the winner.
“The Suitcase Challenge” will be filmed entirely in one day: June 19th 2010. Five crews will follow our five main characters as they venture through the city, meeting various challenges and enjoying various spectacles, i.e. the Fremont Solstice Parade's nude bikers. By the end of the 24-hour day, this event will decide once and for all, who can drink the most beer!
This film is being made specifically to compete in the Sundance Film Festival’s newly minted “Next” category, which after successful hits like “Humpday” and “Freebie,” was established in 2010 for extremely low budget, independent films made outside the Hollywood studio system.

There is no compensation for the day, but you will be fed and have a great story to tell everyone. We are looking for an experienced sound tech that would ideally be able to bring a recorder with timecode, and a set of lav mics. If you see this and can't come out but possibly know someone who can, please pass it on. There are over 40 volunteer players coming out for this epic film with four award winning producers, and an award winning director at the helm.
