I think there is a student film right now, requiring female nudity.

Naturally!  We want MALE nudity!

22  TPS Message Boards (requires ID & Password to post) / Project Promotion / ACT Book Fair at Barnes & Noble This Weekend on: September 12, 2008, 02:29:57 PM
It's finally here! This weekend, Sep 12-14, shop at Barnes & Noble - Pacific Place and you'll be supporting ACT in a big way. Just mention ACT Theatre or the Book Fair at the counter, and they'll donate up to 20% of your purchase back to ACT. As a non-profit, we depend on donations from our whole community, and this is the easiest way to help support our mission and our plays. Plus, you'll score some sweet books, magazines, or even some coffee, for yourself.

Val:     See that man over there?
Gilbert: Why, he's as old as the hills.
Val:      Over 30 easily...

I fall in that age range, but it's a heck of a long drive for me.

Ditto.  Although it does sound like something I'd be interested in otherwise.

Found in recent audition announcement her on TPS:

Old Guy (age range 38-45) – The husband. Profanity required.

Guess that makes me "older than dirt".

Now mind you, I like not being in competition with actors in their 20's for roles.  But 38 - 45 OLD?Huh?

Hardly!

What about the profanity part?  Does that mean every other word is **&^%$ and there's no storyline or dialogue?

What I hate worse is women's monologue books that are all 20-30's.

Lynn:
1. One definitely does NOT have to be Equity to be considered professional.   Long thread on that a while back.

2. You will have to really look hard on the TV shows.  I am literally "the guy in the TV set that plays in the background during scenes."   I started getting these a while back because when a TV is playing on a show they want someone doing news or in a talk show environment that is soooo generic it won't take away from the action of the scene.  I am THAT guy.  Mr. Generic!  My parents are sooo proud.

1.  Cool!

2.  I didn't even know those roles existed.
