The focus of this year’s conference revolves around issues of diversity and development – more specifically, the need to break down barriers that prevent growth, risk-taking and the development of new audiences. TPS has structured conversations and sessions to challenge our current assumptions, encourage debate and engage conflict in hopes of making progress on issues of diversity both on and off stage, quality of work, and audience development! Special events include the Hot Topic Box Lunch (how spicy can you take it), the Down ‘n’ Dirty Debate (got a beef? BRING IT) and a plenary session focused on strengthening our region’s Cultural & Gender Specific Theatres.
So, sharpen those debate skills, bring that chip on your shoulder, put on those boxing gloves and get ready for the front lines!
Complimenting our issue-related conversations will be the popular hands-on workshops and breakout sessions covering anything from playwriting, to trends in arts participation, to touring and everything in between. Click here for a full schedule.
