If you did not attend the General Auditions in the previous 2 years or went over your alotted time, you are required to present your audition in a "pre-audition" prior to acceptance into the General Auditions. The screening is not a determination if an actor is "castable" but rather if they are properly prepared for their audition.
Each member of the panel will give a yes or no as to the preparedness of the actor. Here are items the panel will be considering:
The pre-screening has been added The General Auditions are not a typical "cattle call" where the auditors want to see as many actors as possible - each company is casting for specific roles and plays and expect a certain level of experience, preparation and professionalism in each actor. The pre-screening will determine who is ready to take this step while also giving guidance and advice for those who aren't quite ready yet.
To schedule a pre-screening appointment, simply apply for the Unified General Auditions - we will then contact you with available times.
If you are out of town or otherwise unable to attend the pre-screening, a one-time exemption may be given based on your resume and available audition times. Please make a note in your application if you feel you qualify for this exemption.
