Seattle Jewish Chorale is holding auditions for our 2019-2020 season. Auditions will be held in the evenings of August 28th in Bellevue and September 4th in Seattle. Those interested should email Inez Caspi (email@example.com) to get more specific information on locations and times. Auditionees should come prepared to sing a short a capella song of any style. Seattle Jewish Chorale is open to participants of all religions.
Founded in 2008, Seattle Jewish Chorale is an auditioned community choir whose mission is to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds with the beauty and diversity of the Jewish experience. Seattle Jewish Chorale preserves, celebrates and advances the cultural heritage of world Jewry and fosters unity, understanding and respect within the Jewish community as well as between Jews and the wider community.
Our repertoire includes songs in Hebrew, English, Yiddish and Ladino, in a wide variety of styles and genres: sacred and secular; a cappella and accompanied; classical, jazz, folk and pop. The Chorale performs annual Hanukkah and Spring concerts and community/outreach performances (e.g. NW Folklife Festival, Yom HaShoah memorial), as well as in concerts with other choirs such as Choir of the Sound, the Total Experience Gospel Choir and Kol N’Shamah, the choir of Temple Beth Hatfiloh in Olympia.
