Willy’s Dead Productions’ presents Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, and directed by Annie Jankovic. This production of the Shakespearean classic aims to bring the beloved script into a modern lens by taking a look at how intersectional identities can inform the core theme of loyalty, and what it means to be a true Roman. Still set in ancient Rome, this production’s Caesar is headed by a black woman playing Caesar herself. Race, gender, and disability all play a huge part in the way these Roman elites interact with each other, and what the future of Rome can look like, if we choose to align ourselves with the right causes, and the right people. A cast of 15 will take on this epic tragedy in a minimalist set, over the course of a 2 hour production.

Performances of Julius Caesar will be October 24, 25, 26 (please keep in mind there is a possibility of adding a fourth performance date on the 27th).
