WORLD PREMIERE of a play written by Darren Canady and directed by Jay O'Leary.

ABOUT THE PLAY:
What if you could use your DNA in order to ascertain the truth of ancestral events? A new biotechnology has been developed by THE COMMISSION to help humans harness the power of their own blood to travel back in time. The Commission promises to give those who are deserving a major payday.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
MACEO: a Black man in his 20’s. Magnetic. Stoic. A deep fire threatens to consume all he has ever known. This track contains 2 other roles-- both are his ancestors. Ideally-- this actor has movement experience OR feels ready to explore their instrument using movement.

YOUNG BILLIE MAE: a Black woman in her early 20’s. Baptized in charisma. A dreamer with razor-sharp focus. This track contains a second role-- her ancestor.

GEORGE: a Black man in his early 20’s. A romantic. Ruled by love. Desperate for adventure and Billie Mae’s affections. This track contains a second role-- his ancestor.

PRAMESH: an Indian-American man in his 30’s. Works for The Commission. Though clinical at first, there is a human with empathy somewhere. Deeply conflicted.

Audition/Interview Dates:
Tuesday 7/23 and Wednesday 7/24. Appointment only.

Audition Requirements:
Sides will be provided upon confirmation of appointment.
