Antiques Improv Show will be a long-form improvised play. This will be a highly interactive, ensemble-driven, improvised version of Antiques Roadshow wherein audience members bring objects to be “appraised” by performers who bring the stories behind them to life.


Other details:
Rehearsals will be generally take place on one weekday night and one weekend during the day in July and August.

Tech rehearsals are TBD – may be Labor Day weekend or Labor Day evening. Please be prepared to to give rehearsal availability for all July/August and first week of September.

Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 (6:30 call time), September 5-20. No Saturday performances.

Exact performance dates: September 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, & 20, 2019.

Performances (and many rehearsals) take place at Jet City Improv: 5510 University Way NE, Seattle.

Antiques Improv Show is directed by Kris Corbitt.


Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Jet City Improv seeks improvisers and actors with improvisational experience.

Must be 18 or older to audition.

Audition/Interview Dates:
June 18 (evening)

Audition Requirements:
Auditions will parallel what performers will do in the show: Auditionees will improvise appraisals of objects and do scenework. Auditionees will be evaluated equally on (1) ability to work with a group to create compelling stories with strong relationships and (2) personability and interesting conversation in solo 1:1 appraisal.

Monetary compensation:
$120 stipend
