Funhouse V is our recurring flagship play anthology inspired by The Twilight Zone, Black Mirror, Saturday Night Live, Mr. Show and Adult Swim. Funhouse V is an irreverent and experimental anthology play series that will explore the shifting cultural landscape of the Pacific Northwest through an absurd, irreverent, and satirical lens.

The Funhouse Family produces irreverent and experimental original content characterized by a multi-genre format that reaches beyond traditional theatrical norms. Each live show is comprised of a series of short plays that serve as a rotating platform for diverse up-and-coming playwrights, directors, actors, and designers. We strive to make theatre accessible to all audiences by working with artists from a wide variety of creative backgrounds, including theatre arts, music, film, graphic design, comedy, and literary arts. The Funhouse Family wants artists to take bold risks in their storytelling.

Funhouse I received a staged-reading at Seattle Repertory Theatre and premiered at Seattle’s Eclectic Theater in June 2017. Funhouses II and III premiered at The Slate Theater in October 2017 and April 2018, respectively. Funhouse IV premiered at Theatre Off Jackson in November 2018. Funhouse Tonight! premiered at Theatre Off Jackson in May 2019. Keep an eye out for Now That’s What I Call Funhouse! at Vermillion Art Gallery and Bar in August 2019 and Funhouse V at Annex Theatre in September 2019.
