Character Breakdown / Project Needs
MATTY: A woman of a "certain age" (any ethnicity) who needs to get back in touch with her creative side. To do this, she has enrolled in a Life Drawing class at the Art Student’s League. Because she finds the class work so difficult, she has engaged a young male model to come to her studio to pose for her privately… for extra practice.
BELLA: She is older than MATTY. A full-bodied woman (any ethnicity) who is the young male model's grandmother. She appears as his replacement, and, as the modeling session progresses, helps MATTY come to terms with “aging” and with her own sense of “body image.”
