A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare

First performed around 1596, Shakespeare’s comic fantasy of four lovers who find themselves bewitched by fairies is a sly reckoning with love, jealousy and marriage. For centuries it’s been one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays.

PLEASE NOTE: auditions for April 6th are no appointment and auditions for April 8th are by appointment only.


Other details:

* Read through will be scheduled for 4/20 or 4/21.
* Rehearsal schedule will be weeknights for adults. Scheduling TBD but generally 7-9pm.
* Weekend rehearsals for adults and kids. Scheduling TBD.
* Will schedule by scenes. NO Tues or Fri nights until Tech week.
* Mandatory availability TECH week 6/7-6/13.
* Mandatory availability ALL performances.

* Egeus, Father to Hermia


* Oberon, King of the Fairies/may double cast with Theseus
* Titania, Queen of the Fairies/may double cast with Hippolyta
* Puck, or Robin Goodfellow
* Pease-Blossom, fairy of Titania
* Cobweb, fairy of Titania
* Moth, fairy of Titania
* Mustard-seed, fairy of Titania
* Fairies — various

Audition Requirements:
Shakespearean monologue preferred. Will require cold reading from Script if no monologue presented.
