Theatre Puget Sound Audition Listing Service
This is a non-SAG film that will shoot entirely in Seattle over weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) during the summer. A perfect gig for those who work 9 to 5 during the week! Shooting will begin in late May and finish in August (some flexibility is possible if needed). Only the two leads will be needed every weekend, and even then they may not be needed for both days.
The film is an R-rated family dramedy - think "Parenthood" (the Ron Howard film) with dialogue from "Chasing Amy." There’s no nudity, but plenty of uncomfortable (and humorous) conversations!
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
FRANK (Male lead, Caucasian, early to mid-40s) - A good family man who is frustrated by his lot in life. Occasionally mopey and snarky in equal parts. (*MUST BE ABLE TO LOSE AT LEAST 40 lbs. IN A 3-MONTH PERIOD.)
LAURA (Female lead, Caucasian, early to mid-40s) - A soft-spoken wife who can talk freely to those she loves, but clams up in crowds. Although a bit timid, she can go from meek to Mama Bear in 0.6 seconds.
BUZZ (Boy, Caucasian, should look age 6) - A high energy child with an inquisitive mind; he has a bed-wetting problem. (He may hear the occasional swear word, but we’ll do our best in this regard.)
CAMERON (Male, 30s) - Energetic and immature; always ready with some sarcasm.
NICK (Male, college-aged) - Knowledgeable about IT, but not nerdy. Calm and casual.
PAUL (Male, 30-40s) - Heavy-set individual (heavier than lead). Plays a Silent Bob-type so should be able to say a lot with just a look.
JEN (Female, Caucasian, late 30s-early 40s) - An attorney who doesn't act like a lawyer at all. Very smart, yet street-savvy. A bit of a smart ass who likes to needle her sister Laura (but loves her).
MEG (Female, 30s) - Sassy but friendly, she always has a quip in her pocket for every situation.
April 3 & 4 from 5-9pm; April 6 & 7 from 11am-5pm
