Annex Theatre presents "They/Them The Festival" May 31 - June 29, 2019. "They/Them" is a festival celebrating gender complexity with a series of opening act performances by trans/nonbinary artists along with Sam I'Am's "They/Them The Musical."

If you identify as trans/nonbinary and perform in any of the following disciplines:
- Singing
- Music
- Burlesque
- Drag
- Dance
- Choreography
- Spoken Word
- Poetry
- Storytelling
- Sketch Comedy
- Short Plays
- Performance Art
And we gave you 15 minutes on our stage, what would you do with it?

Annex Theatre and Sam I'Am invite trans/nonbinary performers who work in any of these disciplines--or even one we haven’t thought of yet--to audition for "They/Them The Festival." Sam I’Am (2017 Intiman Emerging Artist, drag king) is curating a series of opening acts around their solo performance "They/Them The Musical" (Seen at Bumbershoot).

**Participation Commitments**
Annex Theatre offers a $50 stipend to all performers in They/Them The Festival (regardless if performers agree to perform more than one weekend).
MEET AND GREET: Meeting with all Festival artists and Annex Company to orient you to festival and Annex Theatre; TBD date in May
REHEARSAL (one week): Schedule determined based on performer availability, can include daytime; rehearsals will be at Annex Theatre
TECH: 4-hour technical rehearsal (sound, lights, prop/scenic elements) in the week prior to performance
PERFORMANCE: Scheduled performance dates (will choose on the signup form)

**About Annex Theatre**
Annex Theatre is a fringe theatre located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood Seattle. Housed on the second level of a former auto repair shop, the all-volunteer company of Annex produces 5-8 award-winning world-premiere productions per year as well as two celebrated monthly cabarets. Founded in 1986, Annex is Seattle’s oldest fringe theatre company. Annex Theatre’s current location has 99 seats in raked stadium-style seating. There is no elevator in our building. Our entire company is comprised of volunteers from the Artistic Director to the Box Office Coordinator. Find more info at annextheatre.org.

11am-2pm Sunday March 10 AND 7pm-9pm Monday March 11
