The Seattle Jewish Theater Company, now in it’s ninth year, is holding auditions in Seattle for its spring 2019 production of "My Name Is Asher Lev," adapted by Aaron Posner from the best-selling novel by Chaim Potok and directed by Shana Bestock.
Performances throughout the Seattle area in March and April. Cast members do not have to be Jewish. More info at, www.SeattleJewishTheater.com.

Adapted by Aaron Posner from the best-selling novel by Chaim Potok, the play follows the journey of a young Jewish painter torn between his Hassidic upbringing and his desperate need to fulfill his artistic promise. When his artistic genius threatens to destroy his relationship with his parents and community, young Asher realizes he must make a difficult choice between art and faith. This stirring adaptation of a modern classic presents a heartbreaking and triumphant vision of what it means to be an artist.

The Seattle Jewish Theater Company is a volunteer touring company. Each cast member will receive a $100 honorarium. We wish it could be more.
