HEARTS (Health Enriched by the Arts) is looking for 9 actors (any age, race, gender, body type, ability) for their inaugural musical production, NIGHTINGALE: A Musical Play Regarding the Life & Passion of Miss Florence Nightingale, by Pamela Gerke. The tour is sponsored by the Washington State Nurses Association and is produced in collaboration with the Women of Wisdom Conference, Everett Community College Nursing Program, Admiral UCC, and others.

Rehearsals will begin January 2019, with a possible read-thru rehearsal in mid-December, based on actor availability. This is a touring production, so actors are required to have reliable transportation. Touring performances around Seattle will begin February 15 and run through mid-March. Actors will be asked to keep Friday and Saturday evenings open through the middle of March, until all tour dates are scheduled. Any actor conflicts at the time of auditions will be noted.

Email Rachel Rene at rachel.araucto@gmail.com to sign up for an hour-long audition slot, where you will be reading, singing, and moving with other actors. In your email, please list your preferred audition days/times.

Please prepare one song that shows off your acting ability (you will need to bring sheet music in the correct key). Auditions will consist of: singing your song for the directors, learning a song with other artists, cold readings from the script, and a short movement piece (please dress comfortably and wear shoes that are not clunky).
