The Silverbells Carolers have been spreading Christmas cheer throughout Seattle and the Pacific Northwest since 1992! We are in need of two tenors to join us for our upcoming season. This is a paid opportunity.

Other details:
Group rehearsals will be held twice weekly (usually Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional Thursdays) through Thanksgiving, in the Seattle/Renton area. Quartet rehearsals are expected, with rehearsal times being arranged by the singers in each quartet. Performances begin the day after Thanksgiving, and usually go through Christmas Eve, with gigs being assigned to each quartet based on client needs and quartet availability.

Company will provide the majority of the Victorian reproduction costume pieces, as well as music and accessories needed.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
We are looking for two tenors to join us for our upcoming 2018 season. Singers will be assigned to a specific quartet upon successful audition. Prefer singers with knowledge of Christmas repertoire, experience in 4 part (SATB) harmony singing, and ability to sight-read or learn music quickly. Singers must be able to hold harmony and sing one on a part in quartets.

Audition/Interview Dates:
Please call or e-mail to set up an audition time.

Callbacks or second audition/interview?

Audition Requirements:
Singers should be prepared to sing a selection from our standard repertoire. Music can be e-mailed to you prior to the audition, if you prefer.

Monetary compensation:
Singer compensation is $25 per hour for performances. Additional bonus pay for travel and/or special circumstances (e.g. Christmas Eve or Christmas Day gigs) may also be offered. Rehearsal time is unpaid.

Average hours for a regular quartet is usually around 20-25 hours for the season, though a minimum number of hours is not guaranteed.

Singers are paid at the end of each season (though special arrangements can be made if needed).
