TheatreTBD is casting for the remainder of its 2018-2019 Cabaret Season.  The shows run monthly on the third Friday of every month.  Each month features a different cast of performers bringing their own unique perspective on a variety of subjects.  
 
We are looking for performers of all types who are wanting to collaborate and showcase their talents on the stage of The Conservatory in Georgetown.  
 
We are looking for singers: both solo performers and duets, spoken work artists, dancers, circus performers, musicians and any other potential cabaret acts interested in a little work.

Details of the season we will be casting for are listed below:

2018/2019 Season
October: This Is Halloween!
-An exploration of the silly side of spooky.  Singers, dancers and ??? all take the stage to perform their favorite numbers from The Nightmare Before Christmas and more!

November: Body Movin’!
-A showcase of all things movement.  Dance, acrobatics and the circus arts will all be featured and celebrated!  It takes more than words to tell a story.

December: Home for the Holidays!
-A night to hear your favorite (and sometimes obscure) seasonal songs sung by the fire….well a few candles. Fire Marshall said no to the camp fire.

January: Belles of the Ball!
- a night of singing show girls performing a variety of acts that span the spectrum of disciplines and even blur the line gender.


February: Lets Duet!
- a night of duets from couples singing to each and with each other…. and a few solo singers giving you their idea of what love is.

March: Short & Sweet
- A night of ten minute plays presented by local performers/playwrights on a variety of subjects.

April: Bond. James Bond.
- Nothing is as epic or as legendary as a Bond films title song. On this night you will get a all of them. and a few tracks inspired by the best of the king of espionage.

May: Ain’t Nothin’ Without A Woman!
- A night celebrating the feminine side of musical creation, with songs sung by Female Artists written by Female Songwriters.

June: Taste the Rainbow!
- A Pride celebration.

 

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
We are seeking a wide range of individuals with a broad spectrum of skill sets.

Audition/Interview Dates:
September 23rd 4pm-7pm

Callbacks or second audition/interview?
To be scheduled on an individual basis as needed

Audition Requirements:
Singers, Musicians, and Solo spoken work performers please prepare one single piece or two contrasting pieces of your choice.  Be it spoken word or music.  We will have an accompanist onsite ready to assist.
 
Visual and movement performers feel free to present what best represents you as an artist.  The goal being to showcase your talents so that we can discuss future work. 
 
Digital submission are also welcome.  Please feel free to send a recording, links or videos of yourself performing to theatretbd@gmail.com and well will follow up with you at a later time.

Monetary compensation:
Stipends vary based on project size and needs.  all compensation will be discussed prior to casting.
