"A Thousand Splendid Suns"

In association with American Conservatory Theater

The epic story of three generations of Afghan women and their remarkable resilience, set in the war-torn neighborhoods of 1990s Kabul. The theatrical adaptation of Khaled Hosseini’s best-selling novel features music from composer David Coulter.

1st Rehearsal – September 25, 2018
• We rehearse Tues-Sun, daytime hours, we try to accommodate school schedules as much as possible
Tech Starts—October 2, 2018
• During tech, we rehearse 12pm-12am with a two hour dinner break, may miss some school
Opening - October 10, 2018
• Shows are Tues-Sun evenings with Sat/Sun matinees at 2pm (plus occasional weekday matinees).

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
ZALMAI: Middle-Eastern or South Asian boy age 7-11; feisty and tough, Zalmai is a precocious young boy who also experiences sorrow and guilt over the betrayal of his mother.
