RCF announces auditions for An Evening of One Acts: Tom Stoppard's "The Real Inspector Hound" and Christopher Durang's "The Actor's Nightmare," both directed by Joe Goins. Auditions will be by appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 21 and 22, from 6-9:30pm.
“The Real Inspector Hound” is a satire on theater critics; their perceived self-importance, and their supposed ability to impact the theatrical world; wrapped in the trappings of a who-done-it melodrama.
“The Actor’s Nightmare” is a dark fish-out-of-water comedy about an accountant who is dreaming that he is an actor and must perform scenes for which he has never rehearsed and is totally unprepared.
We are in the same shopping center as the Goodwill, with our entrance around back, behind the cosmetology school.
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
All roles are available for both shows, and the director plans to use one cast for both scripts. Red Curtain encourages directors to consider gender-blind and color-conscious casting, when allowed by the publisher/playwright.
