The Working Title is a new comedy web series, heavily influenced by the humor of shows such as Arrested Development, Thirty Rock, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The goal of this show is to tell the stories of people who don't get represented in bigger popular media. In the (fully written!) first season we'll explore themes such as LGBT+ issues, mental health and recovery, divorce, family loss, found family, and more.
The pilot episode is already available to watch here: https://youtu.be/7lOe9iBC_ZY
There is more information about the show at our indiegogo campaign here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-working-title#/
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Fern (20-25) - Woman of color - Fern is the perfect girl next door. She's recently graduated college, and is working in a coffee shop. She's sweet, funny, a little awkward, and just doing her best to get by. Ideally (assuming everything gets funded the way we need) - this will be a recurring role for our three planned seasons. Must be comfortable kissing on screen.
Rhonda Weissman (25-30) - African-American Woman - Rhonda is the local news anchor who spends most of her show talking about her recent divorce and her new boyfriend, only occasionally touching on the actual news. Ideally Rhonda will be a recurring role in season 1 and a main character in seasons 2 and 3.
Preferably weekend of July 21 but we can work around your schedule
