Do you sing? Do you harmonize? Do you read music? Do you love the swing/jazz & novelty tunes of the 1940s, such as those of the Andrews Sisters?

Would you LOVE being involved in an All-Girl Group, … an a cappella trio?

An already-established Puget Sound area trio, with engagements already on their 2018-2019 calendar, has 2 members wishing to retire from singing altogether. Replacement entertainers are needed. Upper voice ranges please. IF you have a wide-range voice to include upper AND lower ranges, even better.

The outgoing members will handle all gigs in mid-2018. YOU will take over later in the year, or next year, whenever you’re ready. Outgoing members will be available throughout the learning process.

So far, we pretty much cover the Greater Puget Sound area. But we’ll sing wherever they'll have us! We have numerous out-of-area fans. Please be aware that this is an on-going, year-round performing project. It’s like being a band member. We all just hope to sing together until we can’t sing anymore. So all candidates need to consider that there is an emphasis on having a sense of perseverance and longevity to their involvement.

We sing in a variety of manners = A cappella primarily, with soundtracks, and with a Big Band. Lots of variety in the venues we perform. We strive to achieve a very professional sound, with emphasis on precision and a truckload of FUN! Candidates must enjoy seeking balance & precision, with fine-tuning & tweaking, and that can be demanding. Candidates must be height-weight proportionate, as costumes already exist, with minor alterations feasible.

As to the shows we create, our entire repertoire is staged and/or choreographed, so you must be comfortable with singing and moving at the same time. (But none of us are actually dancers. This is not difficult choreography. We are, however, all Singers who Move.)

The established trio is in their 50’s/60’s, so our calendar works well for someone who is retired or at least very flexible with their schedule. Camaraderie is an important aspect in achieving solidarity for such a tight-knit performance troupe. So being same generation (or nearby) would help in that respect. (We will also consider women in their 40’s.) We perform wherever & whenever they'll have us. These are all paid gigs and the pay rates vary widely. (We've been known to take a non-gratis gig along the way, as those opportunities can occasionally happen for us, however they are rare.)

If you think this 1940’s all-girl group is a project you could LOVE being involved with, please contact us. Wherever we go, we are The Darlings of the Hour. We earn all kinds of accolades wherever we perform. If this sounds like a dream come true to you, ... If this sort of performance lifestyle greatly appeals to you and is right up your alley, ... You owe it to yourself to respond.

This a cappella trio has been entertaining folks since 2011. Check us out on Facebook = www.facebook.com/SweetSwing3. Give us a LIKE there. One can never have too many fans, you know. ;~)

Most Importantly! Please note: We are a group that continues singing many events, a wide variety of venues, all year ‘round, for as long as we all wish to keep working: A collaborative effort on all our parts. (Much like forming a band, we expect to continuously work, as well as continuously rehearse/improve/expand our repertoire.) This is a Trio with a Mission to fulfill. Also, please be aware that Flexibility, Determination & Enthusiasm are key elements to the group’s continued success.

Much to consider here. Please re-read prior to submitting your resume, a picture or two, and an MP3 recording of approx. 32 a cappella measures from any two (2) 1940s songs of your choosing. Please also include a paragraph about yourself as to why this on-going project appeals to you. For now, this project needs to replace soprano/mezzo and mezzo/soprano. These two voices handle the melody and the middle and/or upper harmonies.
