Anansi and the Halfling is a brand new play in which a young black woman, desperate to find herself, embarks on a mystical journey of discovered identity, ancient truth, and incredible fun.

September 2018 - Staging rehearsals
October 13-14 and October 20 - Tech weekends (all day)
October 15-18 and 22-25 - Tech rehearsals (evenings only)

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Actors of all genders will be considered for all roles.
Anansi - a Nigerian man. A black actor, or Nigerian actor, or African-American actor, or mixed-race actor of any age.
Oya - A Yoruba goddess. A black actor, or Nigerian actor, or African-American actor, or mixed-race actor of any age.
Obatala - A Yoruba god. A black actor, or Nigerian actor, or African-American actor, or mixed-race actor of any age.

Callbacks or second audition/interview?
May 24 7-10 pm
Prepare two monologues: one contemporary, and one from an ancient Greek play.
Annex is an all-volunteer theatre company. All guest artists who participate in a production receive an equal $50 stipend.
