Red Curtain Foundation announces auditions for our upcoming production, "M'aQ'betH," Based on a familiar sci-fi favorite, this production is adapted from William Shakespeare's "Macbeth,” and directed by Alex De Roest, whose previous works, “The Thrilling Adventures of Lewis & Clark” and “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” were audience favorites in Everett, Marysville, and Seattle. The show will run weekends, July 27-August 12 at the Red Curtain Arts Center in Marysville.

An honorable alien captain named M'aQ'betH receives a prophecy from three witches that one day he will become Emperor of his homeworld. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, M'aQ'betH betrays the current Emperor and takes the throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia. Forced to commit more and more dishonorable murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion, he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take the galaxy into the realms of madness and death.
