This fall the Lesser-Known Players are bringing the great Harvey Fierstein's transformational play Casa Valentina to the Erickson Off-Broadway Theatre. When many women were rebelling against traditional gender norms, in the 60s, a small group of heterosexual men rebelled in their own way by flocking to a mom-and-pop resort in the Catskills, NY where they could let their innermost cross-dressing dreams run wild, but not without a little drama...

Jonathon/Miranda - Male, 30s, shy, insecure, somewhat masculine, bookish type.
Rita - Female 50s, mother hen type.
Albert/Bessie - Male, 50s, quick-witted, social butterfly, attention starved type.
George/Valentina - Male, 40s, runs the weekend resort with his wife Rita, insurance salesman type.
Isadore/Charlotte - Male, 50s, the ultimate WASP, by the book, ultimate WASP, by the book, high hat type.
Michael/Gloria - Male, 30s, handsome, confident, and sexually-charged chap.
Theodore/Terry - Male, 70s. Sweet and gentle and slightly silly, favorite old auntie type.
The Judge/Amy - Male, 70, distinguished, powerful, looks clunky in women's clothing.
Eleanor - Female, 50, the Judge’s daughter, brittle, cold and damaged.

Women auditioning, please prepare 1 minute in length monologue. Talent is expected to do some cold reading from scripts, and some group audition exercises.
