Pratidhwani will hold auditions for QUEEN by Madhuri Shekar, a play in English, directed by Agastya Kohli. The production will run Aug 3rd through Aug 19th, 2018, as an ACTLab production at ACT Theatre, Seattle.

Rehearsals will begin late April or early May, and will be held in Seattle and/or Redmond.

Auditions will be held for all roles in the play. See attached character descriptions.

Two audition dates are available - one in Seattle (TPS, Theatre4, on March 31st) and one on the east side (Kenmore Library Meeting Room, on April 7). Actors need to sign up for only one slot, on either day. Callbacks will be announced at a later time, if needed.

About QUEEN:

PhD candidates Sanam and Ariel have spent the better part of the last decade exhaustively researching vanishing bee populations across the globe. Just as these close friends are about to publish a career-defining paper, Sanam stumbles upon an error in their calculations, which could cause catastrophic damage to their reputations, careers, and friendship. Should they move forward and publish anyway? Is the ecological - and political - cause more important? Or science? When do facts matter? Which facts matter? Do they matter more than friends and careers?

Other details:
Pratidhwani's rehearsal cycles are longer than most, and stretched out. We typically rehearse 2 to 3 days a week for about 3 months, until we get to tech - which looks like any other tech you've been a part of.
