Our 2018 Rotating Repertory Season includes Sense & Sensibility, directed by Charlie McGrath, Othello, directed by Terri McMahon, and Twelfth Night, directed by Kristin Clippard.
Island Shakespeare Festival is a "Pay What You Will" outdoor rotating repertory company, located on Whidbey Island. We house our summer acting company in homestays with community hosts and do our best to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
Mission: Island Shakespeare Festival draws upon the timeless exploration of humanity in classic theatre to tell clear, resonant stories accessible to all, with humility and gratitude.
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
ISF seeks an ensemble of diverse background. All ethnicities, genders, and ages (over 21) are encouraged to submit. All roles are currently open. We are also looking for actors who play an instrument, though not all roles will require this.
Febraury 23, 24 (Seattle) and 25 (Whidbey Island)
Please prepare two contrasting classical monologues, at least one Shakespeare verse. We may also ask to hear a few measures of a song, a cappella. We will also provide sides.
$250/week, paid bi-weekly (for an actor cast in all three shows--1 show=$83, 2 shows=$167) plus housing
