"8 to 6" is an improvised play in which three female office workers from 1980 are accidentally transported to 2018, trading the ups and downs of the past for the ups and downs of today’s workplace. (This show is not a musical.)


Other details:
Rehearsals will be Tuesday evening and 1 weekend morning per week (Saturdays or Sundays, TBD) in March and April.
Tech rehearsals are Saturday and Sunday April 28 & 29 (daytime), and Monday-Wednesday April 30 – May 2 (evenings).
Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00, May 3 – June 8, 2018.
Exact performance dates:
May 3, 7, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31; June 1, 7, 8.
Performances (and many rehearsals) take place at Jet City Improv: 5510 University Way NE, Seattle.
8 to 6 will be directed by JCI ensemble member Laura Turner (director of Periods in History and Very Special Episode).


Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Jet City Improv seeks improvisers and actors with improvisational experience. Auditions are open to improvisors with at least two years performance improv experience.
All genders and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Jet City Improv is committed to equitable representation on our stage in regards to gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and race.
The show will cast more women than men, but will not be an all-female show. Female-identifying cis or transwomen and/or femme genderqueer individuals will be considered for the central rotating roles.
Must be 18 or older to audition.

Audition/Interview Dates:
Sunday, Feb. 25, 6-9pm

Audition Requirements:
This is a group audition; please be prepared to stay for the whole 3 hours. Some auditioners may be released early. Auditions will include improv games and scene-work.

Monetary compensation:
$180 stipend
