Auditions are occurring the evenings of Wed. 1/24 & Thu. 1/25. Please let us know your availability when you submit. (If necessary, we may consider expanding to other dates/times to accommodate interested actors.)
We welcome submissions from all actors on the full-spectrum of race, gender, and physical ability. For this particular show, we are especially eager to include actors of color and alt-abled actors.
Year of the Rooster is a dark and funny play about the underground culture of cock-fighting; a comedic attack on subjects like rural poverty, animal cruelty and toxic masculinity in America.

Venue: 18th & Union: an arts space
=> Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Feb 25th. The currently planned rehearsal schedule is Sun-Thu evenings, 7-10 PM.
=> The show opens April 13th and closes May 5th, 2018.
=> Long tech days: Sat. 4/7 & Sun. 4/8.
=> We offer a stipend of $150, which is a mere token of the esteem and honor we hold for the practitioners we work with.
=> Because we cannot offer riches, we take care to do everything within our power to make the journey worth it.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
=> Dickie Thimble: Male, age late 30s+
=> Lou Pepper: Female, age 50s+
=> Philipa Long: Female, age 19-25
=> Odysseus Rex (Odie): An actual rooster (Wide open in terms of age & gender of actor.)
