    Auditions and callbacks will be held at TPS (located on the 4th floor of the Amory at the Seattle Center).

After being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. This magical musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, from a parody of French ballads (“Those Canaan Days”), to country-western (“One More Angel in Heaven”) and calypso (“Benjamin Calypso”), along with the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”

 

Other details:
Rehearsals will be held in Seattle and Bellevue, until the final week of rehearsals (which will then be held onsite at Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theater in Fall City). The theater is located on 90 acres of beautifully forested land, with a trail down to the Snoqualmie Falls basin. Performances are on Saturdays at 2pm and 7pm, and Sundays at 2pm. Discounted meals are available to cast members between the two Saturday performances; campsites and showers are available for cast members who wish to camp overnight.

Brothers—Mixed male ranges (NOTE: the brothers roles will be cast gender neutral)
Potiphar—Baritone
Mrs. Potiphar—Alto/Mezzo
Ensemble Women—Sopranos (to High C)
Ensemble Men—Mixed male ranges (Low A to High A, Basses down to E)
Children's Choir

Callbacks or second audition/interview?
Jan 26 & 27

Audition Requirements:
Prepare a short monologue and Broadway-style song. Be prepared to do cold readings and improv exercises.

Monetary compensation:
$250.00 actor travel stipend
