SILHOUETTE, a new science-fiction musical by Scotto Moore, directed by Scotto Moore & Eddie DeHais, seeks actors with excellent singing abilities, singers who can act, and performers with movement & vocal experience to play a variety of roles.

Looking for individuals who bring heart, imagination, and a love of sci-fi to the room. The story focuses on a settlement of conscientious objectors on a distant world, in hiding from an imperialist fleet, using magic to disguise themselves. When a military scout pilot crashes in their town, the former mutineers are forced to face the consequences of moral decisions made hundreds of years ago.

The music in the show will be performed almost entirely a cappella; all performers will be singing in almost every song in the show in some capacity. Various forms of movement will be integrated into the show, and those with physical theater, dance, or generative experience are encouraged to apply; however no movement experience is required to audition.

Seeking 10 potentially female and 2 potentially male roles. All roles open to any gender, including trans and nonbinary folx. Annex Theatre strives to create an environment of inclusivity and parity. For this production, we are not only seeking people who carry enthusiasm and investment in the development of new work, but actors of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientation, sizes, and physical or mental abilities are encouraged to audition for any role that excites them. Choral / ensemble singing experience a plus.

Note: Annex is not currently ADA accessible and the rehearsal/performance space is up a long flight of stairs; please contact us if you use a wheelchair or have a physical disability that will require assistance.

One workshop may be scheduled in January or February.
Rehearsals begin March 5: Mon-Thu 7-10, Sat/Sun 12-5. Technical rehearsals begin April 14.
Performances are April 27 - May 19 (Thu-Sat at 7:30pm), with one Monday industry night, May 7 at 7:30pm.
