SecondStory Repertory is holding auditions for our January 2018 production of Wit by Margaret Edson. Directed by Peggy Gannon.

Vivian Bearing, Ph.D., a renowned professor of English who has spent years studying and teaching the brilliant and difficult metaphysical sonnets of John Donne, has been diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. Her approach to the study of Donne: aggressively probing, intensely rational. But during the course of her illness—and her stint as a prize patient in an experimental chemotherapy program at a major teaching hospital—Vivian comes to reassess her life and her work with a profundity and humor that are transformative both for her and the audience.

The show runs January 19-February 3, 2017. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8p. Rehearsals begin December 4, 2017 and the schedule is as follows…
December 4-7 7pm-10pm
December 10-14 7pm-10pm
December 17-21 7pm-10pm
December 27-28 7pm-10pm
January 2-4 7pm-10pm
January 7-11 7pm-10pm
Tech Week (January 14-18, 2017): Sunday-Thursday 7pm-11pm
*The actress playing Vivian may be asked for times outside of this schedule.

Rehearsals will be mainly at TPS in Seattle.
