Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Pontius Pilate – Male Lead, Age 40 – 55, Good comedic timing, character wants to just get through the tedious politics and on with lunch; more importantly his wine. Can fit the look of Italian/Roman heritage.

Fake Jesus – Male Lead, looks like the picture of Jesus we all know: male, lengthy hair, beard, slender. Must be able to express emotions well without the use of dialogue. Will need to have hands bound and cotton cloth fixed around mouth preventing him from speaking. (This lead role does not have dialogue.)

Councilman 1 – Male Supporting, Age 25 – 45, Good comedic timing, just wants things to get over with, is a suck up to Pontius Pilate. Any ethnicity.

Councilman 2 – Male or Female Supporting, age 25-35, Good comedic timing, Convinced that the court is judging the wrong Jesus, and he continually interrupts the court. He would rather be right than make anyone else happy. Any Ethnicity.

Disciple 1 (thug 1) – Male Supporting, Burly man age 25-35, Good comedic timing, He is the man behind the plan to frame an imposter to save the real Jesus. His motivation is to rush the court to judgment on the wrong man so he can be regarded highly in the eyes of the real Jesus. Any Ethnicity.

Disciple 2 (thug 2) – Male Supporting, Tough guy look age 25-35, Good comedic timing, also wants the plan to work, follows the lead of disciple 1. Although at times, he really doesn't know what is going on. Any Ethnicity.

Blind Eddie (Guard) – Male Supporting, slender, age 20-30, Good comedic timing, Not a very good guard since this character has very bad vision. Any ethnicity.

Barabbas (Barney) – Male Supporting, age 30-45, evil murderer that the crowd chooses to set free instead of the innocent imposter, good powerful voice. Any Ethnicity.

Tailor - Male or Female Supporting, age doesn't matter, physical comedy role, must express emotion well without the use of dialogue, sizes Jesus for his cross and crown of thorns while the trial is still in progress, but while the council flip-flops on whether or not to crucify him, impatiently changes actions based on the current decisions of the council. (This supporting role does not have dialogue) Any ethnicity.
