Life: An Adaptation is a multidisciplinary new work by filament: a collab lab. Based on the text of Charles Mee this piece will be performed in beautiful Magnusen Park in Northeast Seattle.
This is filament's second production. In January 2017, filament devised an adaptation of Gertrude Stein's poem “Every Afternoon: A Dialogue” at the Slate Theatre.
We are looking to cast two members of a small ensemble who would feel at home acting, dancing, singing and creating spontaneous art pieces from the natural surroundings.
Filament: a collablab is an emerging Theatre Lab who has chosen the natural theatricality of the Seattle landscape as their creative home and inspiration. We re-examine our current theatrical conventions in a search for new practices that are more sustainable.
Any money raised by filament goes almost exclusively to our performers. Filament values adaptability and creativity over monetary approaches to design, build, light, and produce our work.
